Need Help!!!

Hello....I have a new boyfriend and things are starting to get serious, we are discussing becoming intimate and he shared with me that he had been given genital warts from a previous partner.  What do I need to do?  He even mentioned oral sex...how do I protect myself?  I like him and I want to work through this but I also need to be safe.  I don't have a lot of sexual history so this is real new to me. I'm trying not to freak out and I don't want to be one of those people who leaves him like others have in the past.

yes def. get ur self the gardasil shot i just finished my last shot this week it goes in a series of 3 shots you get the first one and then you wait 2 months go back and get the second shot and 6 months from the first shot you get the 3rd shot and no this doesnt protect you from all hpv but it does protect you from the strands that cause genital warts if you are trying to get intimate soon i would say def. use a condom and make sure he has no signs of a out break and you should be good.

p.s. the gardiasil shot is NOT cheap i would go to your local health dept. thats what i did and got it for FREE!! other wise it can cost up to 150 to 200 dollars a shot and you need 3 so i hope this helps just be safe!

A dermatologist freezes the warts, then the person uses a cream called Aldara. They'll  go away...but might come back, its a virus. It does calm down with time... depends on the severity. Some research indicates that using Aldara might prevent them from coming back in the same spot. You can see the warts on his penis if you look..... dont freak and make him self conscience. Try to diffuse with humor and/or love.... Penis have little glands on them, they resemble pimples... little bumps, normal. Ususally, a wart looks like a slighly shiny small pimple..they can look irregular shaped too. He can point one out.... do other things until they clear up . . . and get yourself that series of three shots for HPV.  Good luck... stay positive!
