Penis Sore

I have been tested for STD's in the past, came out clean, and have had sex only with my current gf who is clean as well since. However, on my penis about a half an inch below the head line, slightly to the left, where the skin folds I had a bit of discoloration and thought I had a pimple growing. When I tried to pop it I believe some white stuff came out however the area became red and what looks like an ant bite without the white head. It doesn't hurt, doesn't itch, doesn't grow and the only problem I have with it is that it looks bad. I have been putting neosporin on the area for a few days but nothing has changed. I'm really curious as to what it might be because I'm fairly certain it could not be herpes or a genital wart. It gets harder when I have an erection but is for the most part like the rest of my penis when it isn't erected. Was wondering if it would either go away by itself or if I needed to seek out a dermatologist to get it cleared up.

Grace, I'm sorry about that mistake I meant clear of std's. I know I have been tested for herpes because as they drew my blood they said it was for both herpes test. From what I understand of herpes it doesn't just show up in one singular spot, stay there, and not spread or inflame in other spots as well. I didn't think it could be isolated to one single spot on the penis. That is why I didn't want to spend excessive money to get yet another check up when I've not only been careful but choosy of my partner as well. I was just curious if anyone had heard or seen anything of this sort. I've read somewhere of someone who had on another site but they never wrote an addition to their posting once they saw their dermatologist. I know it's only a guess and I will need to go see a DR if it doesn't dissolve but I was just curious if anyone has been in my shoes before.

odds are that neither you nor your gf have been getting tested for herpes. it's not a part of routine std testing in most clinics. you'll both have to check your last test results specifically to see if it was included.

bottom line is, you need to be seen if you are worried about this. we'd only be guessing as to what it is. you won't be able to pop a wart and get white stuff out so I agree it's not likely to be that.

also I know this sounds like I'm being a stickler but clean is when you shower regularly. it's not a term to be applied to std's since it implies the opposite that someone who has one must be dirty which is not the case but can be very upsetting to some of our newly diagnosed posters here - thanks!
