Rash/herpes

Hi Doc I just want to say what you guys do is a ton of help

Anyways about 3 and a half weeks ago I felt a burning sensation on the tip of my penis I am circumsized. After that I noticed a red rash flare up. I thought nothing of it since I get irratation on the tip of my penis quite often I still have irration rite below my urethra that has been there for two years. About a week later it was still there but again I forgot about it until this week. The rash is still there its red with pinsize bumps they dont look like blisters and there is no pain you can barley see them with the naked eye. The rash has stayed the same size and seems to get redder in the heat or when I get out of the shower and can appear somewhat shiney. The reason I think it could be herpes is because a week prior to the rash I had a coldsore kissed my girlfriend and then she immidietly gave me oral sex could this transmitt the virus to my genitals or do you think it could be a heat rash, yeast infection or something else again its going on 4 weeks without any sign of letting up and i also have dry skin on the rash but the bumps are not breaking open or anything there just there could herpes blisters last this long without breaking?

Thanks alot doc

The best thing to do is to see your provider.

No kissing you gf and then her giving you oral will not give you herpes. If your gf has hsv1 orally and you don't then yes she could transmit it to you thru oral sex. Since you already know you have hsv1, this isn't an issue.

this is probably something non-std but see your provider for further evaluation anyways. sounds like you could use the peace of mind.
