Redness on penis

ok, ive been having problems with the "head" and shaft of my penis since october 2008. i noticed that after i took a shower, or masturbate i got a little red. i take a shower everyday after i exercise by the way. so i noticed the redness would get worse and worse, i mean the head was covered with red tiny spots also on the inside of the shaft. i was really scared because i thought i was a STD. i did have unprotected sex with ONE girl, like 5 times, but she told me that she took a test and she didnt have any STDs. so i was kinda relieved. so i started putting lotion, i think NIVEA on my penis, and it went away for a little while but came back. so i tried looking on the internet about this, and i thought i had balanitis, so i went to buy some LOTRIMIN AF. i used that for 2 weeks n again it kinda  went away. Then i thought it might be the soap i use. At first i use PINK DOVE, then i switched to LEVER 2000 W/ VASELINE FOR MEN. i really like using that soap but i cant find it anymore at the stores, so im forced to buy regular LEVER 2000 W/ VASELINE. and recently i tried puttin NEOSPORIN and at first the redness did go down, but now i still have the same sensation and a little redness. I hope this isnt a STD like herpes, but i the images i seen of herpes are not what i have. i dont have any ulcers or anything extreme like that. im really tired of worrying about my penis, i hope you can help me, please. thank you
