STD Worried?

Hi,

About a month ago I began getting symptoms of a sore urthrea at the base of the penis and a sore right testicle. It became worse to the point of painful erection and ejaculation, sometimes for a day afterwards until subsiding. There is no burning during urination or any discharge.

I saw my GP who suspected a UTI and ordered a urine and STI test (Chl & Gon) which came back negative. He also prescribed a 10 day course of ciprofloxacin which alleviated the symptoms. However, one week after treatment the symptoms are back and I am left worried.

I did start the ciprofloxacin course (two tablets) before the urine testing. Would that interfere with the results?

Any thoughts?

Well if the medication did anything it might have started to cure a STD but you probably would still test positive if you had a STD.

Thanks. Yes it was examined and found to be enlarged. I took two tablets so about 20 hours I think.
