STI/STD from Oral sex

Hi i'm blu from the philippines. Me and my girlfriend are both virgins. We haven't got any known STI/STD infections and haven't got any check ups. For safety purposes we only have dry humping with our clothes on to get rid of unwanted pregnancy BUT recently we've been having unprotected oral sex BUT we make sure to wash and gargle our mouths with water before we kiss again. After a day my girlfriend said that she experienced a pain in her throat or some kind of a sore throat and i've read from the internet that a sore throat is one of the symptoms of STI/STD.  Is it possible to contract STI that way? We are both loyal and honest with each other and havent experienced sexual intercourse. Should we take tests for STI or is it just a normal sore throat? I know im just paranoid but i would like to hear your answers. Thank you in advance!

If you are a virgin and 100% sure you have no STI how could you possibly give your girlfriend any STI? You have to have an STI to be able to transmit to anyone else.
