Thrush after antibiotics

Would someone please enlighten me about thrush. I was on antibiotics after an exposure(condom broke having vaginal sex). I was taking 2 types of antibiotics and then after 6 days my tongue started turning white. I stopped taking antibiotics nearly 2 weeka ago now but my tongue is still white, so my question is does thrush from antibiotics go away on its own or you'll have to take medication for it? Please help

You can try some saltwater gargles and probiotics. If your thrush persists, call your doctor for some Diflucan.

So should it go away on its own if it is from antibiotics?
Hello! If you have a relatively healthy immune system it should go away. Increase your fluid intake, gargle several times a day with salt water, and try probiotics. However, if you continue to have symptoms you could ask your doctor for a medication like Diflucan which is an antifungal.
Sorry, quick question. If only the tongue is white, gums are clean, roof is clean everything else is clean, no cracked corners of the mouth. But at the back of the tongue it is whiter, not inflamed or raised in any way & back there there is some white stuff that comes off with no pain...is it thrush or white tongue?
If you have thrush it would be in all areas of your mouth and your tongue would be very sensitive and most likely have a burning sensation. So it it is specific to the back of your tongue, I doubt it is thrush. Also, it is not normal for people with healthy immune systems that are adults to get thrush. I would still follow the same advice about increasing fluid intake and salt water rinses. Hope that helps.
