Yet another oral STD risk Q

On Sun Aug 30th I was in Scotland and, guess what? I had a lot to drink. I kissed some guy quite a bit, went back to his house. There was zero penetration and zero fellatio. My mouth didn't get near any of his gentialia. It was all kissing and "outercourse" because he had no barriers. But for a minute he flipped me on my back and performed cunnilingus. It was just for a few minutes. I don't even remember if he kissed me after that.

This all happened at around 2am or so that morning. Later that morning at 10am, I woke up with a sore throat. I have had it since then. I went to my regular doctor last Tuesday, who examined me, gave me a rapid strep test which turned out negative, and all he said was I was really red. He noticed no sores, lesions, spots, nothing. I checked out my own throat and I didn't see anything either.  He prescribed Azithromycin which I finished today.

The very day after I started the antibiotics, my throat felt significantly better. However, I finished it yesterday and it isn't gone, and in fact feels a tiny bit more noticeable. Still no sores or anything else.

I also have no other symptoms of any kind. No fever, aches, pains, nothing flu like. No discharges. Nothing!

Here is the thing. I was tested positive for HSV years ago. I rarely have outbreaks.

Is it possible that I could have a sore throat and some tingliness for this long from an oral HSV2 transmission to my mouth, from my vagina to his mouth to my mouth? Would antibodies present prevent the new sores from occuring?

And what else, if anything, should I test for?

A year ago in Aug, I had a sore throat for three weeks, which in retrospect may have been caused by turning on my A/C unit without having rinsed the filter for nearly a year. Since this all started in a different country, I am not leaning towards suspecting allergies, esp since i have never been allergic to much of anything.

What else could cause such lingering sore throats?  No one ever found out what the one from last year was caused by.

Hey, I tried posting this through the doctor's section but for some reason it keeps coming back here. I really only want doctor's opinions because most other people can really scare you, no offense.

Thanks guys!
