Urethritis symptoms negative chlamydia/gonorrhea

Hi everyone,
First I'd like to reference my original post a couple of months ago https://www.medhelp.org/posts/STDs---STIs/Do-I-have-an-STI-or-a-UTI/show/2999544#post_14269614 .  I was tested for chlamydia & gonorrhea 2 weeks after encounter, and results were negative.  I was given 1g azithromycin and symptoms improved for a bit and then returned after a couple of weeks.  I still have not experienced any discharge, my main symptoms include an itchy feeling in the urethra, mild swelling on the outside of the meatus, sometimes redness in the inside of the urethra and increased frequency/urgency of urination.  It does not necessarily "burn" or hurt when I pee, but it feels like I could urinate more after I'm done.  I am confident in my test results, but confused as to why I would still experience some symptoms.  I do not believe I have any lesions on the glans suggestive of herpes, and from what I've heard, trich with symptoms is unlikely in men.  My partner has not complained of any symptoms.  My question is, what else could it be and should I be worried?  It seems like some of these symptoms (such as the meatus swelling and internal redness) are worse after sex.  I have also seen some info on stress and anxiety causing symptoms such as these.  If anyone could offer an opinion or help elaborate, I would appreciate it.  Hopefully I can get this thing under control.
