Waxing???

I suffer with herpes and have tried to find out about waxing!  Does anyone know if having a bikini wax initiates outbreaks? I certainly won't get it done if that is the case!!!

Acyclovir is not effective as a once daily dose. You need to be on the 400mg 2x/day dose.  http://us.gsk.com/products/assets/us_zovirax.pdf  is the full prescribing info on it for further reading.  Also check out the herpes handbook at www.westoverheights.com if you've never read it - the doses of antivirals for herpes are listed in there too.

Thanks for the advice. I am currently on 400mg of aciclovir daily. Can I up this dose or is that my max if I decide I'm brave enough to go ahead with the deed?

Many thanks

it's different for everyone and the only way you'll know if it's a trigger for you is to get one.

You can up your meds too if you want when you get one.
