Is syphillis contagious in incubation period?

I recently performed oral sex on a masseuse. I initially kissed his penis with no condom on and did a minor lick. I then asked him to put a condom on and he did. When he did put the condom on he put it on incorrectly then flipped it. I proceeded to give him oral for about a minute and decided to stop. He did not ejaculate.

A week later I feel a firm bump forming on my bottom lip. It's very small and you can hardly tell it's there. It has not opened up into a canker yet.

I did not see any open sores on his penis.

Is it possible I have contracted syphillis?
If so and if I'm in the incubation period with no symptoms other than what I described to you is it possible I could infect my partner by Deep kissing?

I'm going to the doctor to get tested and to get a shot of penicillin. Just want to get a second opinion here.

Hi, to contract syphilis he needs to have an active chancre sore and you would need an open sore on your lips for the germs to enter. without either its zero risk.
