HOME FREE?...i hope.

whats up people hope you all doing ok , well i have a question maybe you guys can put some info by past experinces and knowledge on this. im a 23 year old male, around summer time i had protected viginal sex and unprotected oral, me giving cunninglus. the girl was 18 and she on her account had only had sex with 2 previus guys on of which was middle easter and had had his kid so she was a single mom. well i understand that most people includidng my dad and aunt have hsv1, to my knowledge most of my dads side has it. so im not worrying about hsv1 cause possible i might have it so im ok on that, the thing that worries me the most is im fact hsv2, thats the last thing i need right now. i have tested for all std and come up negative. this is the only thing worrying me what are my odds of catchingn hsv2 from this expossure i have not had any outbreaks or any thing.. some doctors suggest that after 10-14 days after exposure and nothing happens youre home free? also the fact that my family has hsv1 is said to reduce my chances from this 1 time exposure?? imput would be greatly apreciated. thanks ......also would testing be recomended or am i just overreacting...
thanks again.

No, I don't.

And if you only have hsv1, you can't give her hsv2.  The number indicates the strain of the virus, not the location.  If you were to give someone genital herpes from your oral herpes, you'd be giving them genital herpes type 1.

No, it doesn't sound like hsv2, but it sounds like something she and her nephew should get checked out.  It might be molluscum or some kind of bacteria they are sharing, like staph, which would need prompt treatment.

Why don't you just find a clinic that offers the blood test and find out once and for all if you have it?  Clearly you will not relax until you know, even though your chances are low.

what up auntiejessie hope you doing well. well ive been doing well since the last time we chatted ive also dissmissed the idea of me having hsv2, well the reason for my return is because my girlfreind has 3 red bumps on her back and 4 on her lower leg area. i have only had sex with her once and it was protected except for me giving her unprotected oral, she already has oral hsv1, she sleeps with her little nephew in the same bed, and he also has a few small red bumps on his back. does that sound like hsv2 or am i tripping? I on my part have never had an out break or anything like that. she was a virgin before me.   antiejessie thanks for listening we wanna start having unprotected sex cause we want a baby of our own but this idea of me giving her hsv2 is killing me.

thanks auntie jessie, yesterday before i got youre response i went to my local provider and ask my doctor the same question, she said she could test me but it would be a waist of time seing that i dont have any lessions or symptoms, she said that the only test they offered would show a possitive if i had  the herpes hsv1 or hsv2, well that wouldnt solve my prob cause my dad's family has hsv1 so chances are i have hsv1, so i asked her for the igg test and she said they didnt offer it, then she asked me about my previous sex life and i told her i had sex with 2 partners in my life before my current girl. she said the odds of catching hsv1 were more likely than hsv2 and that infection rarely happens after 1 exposure.

so im good then thank you so much auntiejessi you have been an angel.

I see no reason to test, and no reason to not resume sexual activity.

Use condoms, as always.  :)

cool thanks antiejessi, an answear coming from some one so knowlegable as youreself puts me at ease. yeah my buddy also said that i am overeacting that its been too long for me and ive had no symptoms also the fact that this was a one time exposure and that hsv2 is a lot more less comon than hsv1. he said that i had a better chance of getting hit by a car than getting hsv2. one last question do u think im the the clear and i can resume having sex.

Oral hsv2 is very rare, and you used a condom, so the chances of you getting hsv2 are very slim.  With no outbreaks, I wouldn't worry at all.
