surgery antibiotics and syphilis

If one was infected with syphilis and had an orthepedic surgery two months later, would the antibiotics given through iv before surgery and the antibiotics taken after surgery in pill form kill the bacteria? Or would it not cure the bacteria and end up concealing the secondary rash?

If you remember what I said then you know that you have a better chance of getting hit by a comet then syphilis.

i am pretty sure i was given ancef for prophylaxis. I remember what you told, and i know i never really had the classic symptoms, i was just wondering if an anti biotic could have canceled the symptoms and not the infection

No clue what you were given and no clue what affect it would have.

Go back and re read what I told you about your risk.
