Did I contract something?

Hi everyone, I'm 19 years old and 3 days ago I lost my virginity having a one night stand with a girl. The encounter was protected with a condom but at one point I did perform unprotected oral sex. Since then I've been having a weird, dry, and slightly sore throat (the day after) along with nausea, bad breath, and dry mouth (started two days after) which got to a point where I actually vomited earlier today. I also feel different sort of like I have a unique altered state of consciousness that I've never had before. I'm wondering if my symptoms fit any kind of STDs (HIV seems unlikely because normally symptoms appear later) , especially those that are transmittable to the throat, because all these symptoms happened to appear the day after the encounter. I'm thinking of going to a clinic soon because whatever I have is greatly affecting my mind (perhaps it's the nausea). Thank you for taking the time to read this and please if there is any helpful advice or input it would be greatly appreciated.

I agree with the above comments. I would recommend to put your mind at ease to ask the person if they are 'clean'. This might assit you getting over your concern. If you feel the need you could get tested. If you feel that it is necessary.

I think I did catch some strange virus because the sore throat is barely there anymore and the nausea has pretty much vanished but still noticeable. Thanks for the help. To help combat, I loaded up on supplements (vit. E, vit. C, L-Lysine, and fish oil) that boosted my immune system tremendously. I will post again if other symptoms seem to pop up.

Your symptoms seem more compatible with a garden variety virus than an STD.  Also, a day after exposure is too soon for symptoms to appear - minimum time from exposure to symptoms is at least a few days.  Oral sex is generally low risk for STDs.  Technically, gonorrhea is possible, but this is rare.  Also, most cases of pharyngeal gonorrhea are asymptomatic.  Bottom line - I do not think you acquired an STD from this exposure.  If you remain anxious, you could always get tested to ease your mind, but I don't think it is necessary.
Best,
Em
