Re my risk at this point

Dear all, tomorrow it will have been 5 days since my possible exposure, that is unprotected oral sex from a sex worker at a sex party where the girls all claim to be tested. There were 7 girls there I only got unprotected oral from one girl. This is my only ever time having unprotected oral, she did it twice to me both for a matter of minutes and not vigorous or deep throat.

Since Dr Handsfield says gonorrhoea presents 95% of the time in 2-5 days can I consider myself hopefully ok from this after tomorrow? I noticed he also says testing not required and I am hoping I can get away with this one off act of utter stupidity.

I took a vitamin C tablet straight after the exposure though which I usually don't take I know this doesn't affect much but only wondering if it could theoretically extend the time gonorrhoea or other std's could show? Say longer than 2-5 days for example? Or am I just going crazy with anxiety.
Thank you everyone.

I found this post as well which dr hands field quotes around a 1/1000 risk of oral to genital HSv-1 transmission. So after 5 days of no symptoms, and this information I really hope I'm ok and odds are on my side.

Thank you Life, and who ever is reading this thank you if you have helped me in the past.

It has now been 5 days and I am starting to rule out gonorrhoea (fingers crossed).

My only concern is HSV-1 genitally which Dr Hook has claimed is a very low risk without visible lesions in the girl's mouth, even if the recipient has not had HSV-1 before.

As I say I won't be getting tested due to the potential of the anxiety attack during the test period doing more damage to me than the low risk of me having an STD as advised by many people here.

This forum is about risks and bottom line is that unprotected oral sex with a risk with someone we dont know the status of. And testing would be recommended if a person is in long term relationship to lift the risk factor from the partner.

Also if this is the case then why does dr handsfield say he would continue having unprotected sex with a wife without testing?

What are my odds exactly? I'm so nervous about this. I will have to book an appointment but I cannot get treatment where I am going.

Testing is recommended with symptoms OR is you have a regular partner. The theroy is eliminating the risk factor completly for THEIR protection.
Unprotected oral sex from a sex worker you would have a risk for all std,s except HIV. These risks include herpes, syphilis, HPV, Gono and Chlamydia.

Thanks Life, she did not do deep throat. However, I do not understand the theory that I should get tested if I have a partner. I am planning to have unprotected sex with a regular partner on 2nd March. I don't see why whether I have a partner or not whether that should change my risks? If testing is not recommended for a low risk in some cases, why should it be just because I may have a partner?

I understand the issue of possibly giving them something that's asymptomatic that I may have, but then why does it negate my need for testing?

I have decided not to get tested which is why I am so anxious and hoping for the best. I also spook to a paramedic (i was having an anxiety attack over this) who told me I should be ok without testing. I am going abroad on 1st March which means even if I went for a test right now it would be pointless as I would be abroad and incapable of getting news or medication. Is there any way I could get gonorrhoea meds to take with me without testing? It's so frustrating having to wait 2 weeks.

Hi, if she did not give you a "deep throat" oral that would lower your risk closer to zero as the bacteria would be in the back of her throat. 5 days with no discharge or urethra irritation is a very good sign that your ok. But if you have a regular partner you might get tested for all std,s except HIV.
