Could it be Chlamydia

About 2 months ago I had unprotected sex with a man. About a month later it was time for my annual gyno appt. I went in and told them to check me for EVERYTHING simply because I knew I had messed up and not been as careful as I should have been. This is prob due to the fact that I had only been with one other man before and we were together for 5 years. About 2 weeks later they called and told me that I had chlamydia and prescribed me doxycycline hyclate BID for 10 days. 8 days after starting my antibiotic I went in to get rechecked. I told the dr. that I didn't think that it was gone because i was having a heavy discharge that I didn't really notice til I started the antibiotic. She didn't seem too worried and said that it was prob just my hormones out of whack because of the antibiotics. Today (about 10 days later), I was told by them that the follow-up test for chlamydia came back negative. However, I am still having the same heavy discharge. Is it possible for it to be chlamydia? Or could it be a yeast infection due to the antibiotics since all of the other test came back negative? Please help! I am really concerned and I am going on vacation next week and really don't want to have to worry about it while I am out of town.

Get Diflucan to take so you can get feeling good before your vacation.

If you had a re-check and it came back negative.  You're clear.  There is a good chance it's a yeast infection from antibiotics.  I would give it another couple weeks.  If the discharge is still there go in to doc and have them check to see if it is just a yeast infection.  If it's a bad one they can give meds.
