Dermatology Appt

Hey Im a 23 year old male and I have and upcoming appointment with my dermatologist.  Usually she just has me take off my shirt and checks my skin and moles nothing else.  However I have some small bumps on my penis shaft that I would like a doctors opinion on, how should I go about asking for that part of the exam?! Has anyone else ever had a dermatologist check your genitals before, is this common practice? Plz respond im nervouse about it!

P.S.
The tiny bumps on the skin of your penis are most likely "ectopic sebaceous glands," and they are completely normal. They may contain a small amount of white waxy material called sebum, but they are not infectious and do not require treatment.

without seeing your penis if the bumps look like tiny little pimples just about all over your shaft
that is normal. to play it safe you should ask the dermatologist

There's absolutely no reason to be nervous. Just tell your doctor what you told us about the bumps and all. Checking genitals is part of a dermatologist's job description so just relax :)

It's a skin related concern; and, I see nothing inappropriate by asking her to exam the bumps. If it's outside of her expertise, she'll let you know. Go ahead and mention it to her.
