amoxixcillin

i got tested for throat bacteria including gonorrhea in the throat as well as chlamydia and syphilis in the throat. they left a message saying the cultures came back negative and gave me amoxicillin 500mg 3 times a day for ten days but never told me what i tested positive for. does this mean i have an STD and if so which one would amoxicilin 500mg for 10 be used for

its jus a normal anti-biotice doesnt necessarily comes for STDS only so CHILLAX and find a new Dr

Sometimes doctors over prescribe antibiotics. He may of thought you had a infection that is not common and prescribed you the mess as precaution.

I don't understand either why they gave you meds if your cultures came back negative. Maybe you have just a regular throat infection? Give them a call today to ask why you were prescribed meds.
