bumps around pubic area

I am 18 years old. at age 13 i shaved my pubic hair for the first time. it itched so bad i scratched it whenever i had the chance. i now have the scars to show for it and I'm wondering what can i do to get rid of it. My boyfriends tries to act as if it doesn't bother him when he eats me out (he has been to the doctor with me and knows i dont have anything) but i know it does. I don't want to feel self concious about myself around him i want to be comfortable about myself. Is there any reliable cream or something I can do expensive or not to make these scars go away. and how do i prevent them because i shave once in awhile so that the hair doesn't get too much and i sometimes gets a bump or two when the hair tries to come back.

I agree with the above response. stop shaving. a small amount of hair will cover up the scars, but you can try some of the creams and see if they help. The skin there may be too sensitive but who knows, a dermatologist is your best bet. you don't have to shave to keep the hair under control....you can trim, and that's your best option. you can try the over-the-counter creams like Maderma in the meantime, but I'm not sure how effective they are.

If it hasn't occurred to you already, STOP SHAVING!  If you have truly deep scars, then there isn't a whole lot you can do about them short of plastic surgery which you can't afford.  There are, however, creams that can reduce the outward appearance of "stretch" marks.  See a dermatologist for evaluation and discussion of such options.
