Hi there,
thank you for your comment. unfortunately yep it's the H word! I'm completely devestated as my partner and I have been completely faithful to each other for the 5 years we have been together and i cannot understand why now it has decided to come out :O( i'm suffering a lot with achy limbs too and i hope that's just all part of the process! I'm really hoping this condition doesnt control my life.

It does sound so much like a primary herpes attack, especially with the gland in your groin protuding. I would see your doctor or go to a sexual health clinic, if you go to a clinic you will be treated there and then, its free and confidential.
Herpes is a very easy virus to pick up. I cannot think of anything else that fits your symptoms, syphilis can cause blisters but I really don't think its that.
go get checked out, don't worry too much.
