Please help. It looks like this is cancer--picture attached.

This is on my grandmom's foot. She has a doctor's appointment on Tuesday. It really looks like cancer and I'm very worried. Does anyone know what it is? She does have a history of skin cancer. She is 94 years old! It does not hurt unless you press it, but it is about one inch in diameter. Could this be amelanotic melanoma or squameous cell carcinoma? It has only been there for a few weeks.

Does anyone know if this could have metastasized? I'm worried.

Thank you so much!

Good luck for the doctor's appointment. I would guess that something that has arisen in a matter of weeks is unlikely to be emelantotic melanoma or squameous cell carcinoma but it is definitely something she should get looked at. It could be many benign things also so please try not to worry until you hear for sure. Most 94 year olds have had some sort of skin cancer but generally the less serious ones.
