Sore bump on arm

Hi there

For the past 2 or 3 months i've had a small round bump on my arm - I kept picking it and made it more and more red. I then put a needle to it and put wart removal cream inside of it, which stung and hurt a lot. I decided to not do this again as I had made the skin and surrounding area red and sore.

I've kept the bump covered up with a plaster and it's healed up, but the bump is still a bit red (but now more or less back to being skin color) and if pierced with a needle it's basically solid (not like a spot) - it's also sore if you press it. I also notice that there is quite a bit of hair growing out of it. Does this sound like a sort of cancer? I will be seeing a doctor if it's a concern

I plucked the hairs and it seems to have gone down, a bit red still though

This does not sound like skin cancer. Just an irritated cyst or hair follicle due to repeated pulling. Generally no treatment is required but they become painful then it means they are infected,Then surgical excision by traditional wide excision, minimal excision, and punch biopsy excision may be required.
