I went to the doctor today and I have a small sinus infection and acid reflux.
Hello,
Looks like you have developed a sinus infection which can progress to a throat infection as well. Sinus infections cause headaches. Consult your primary care physician who will do blood tests and may take a throat swab if needed to determine the cause and prescribe appropriate medications. In the meantime practice good breathing exercises, humidify your room and do steam inhalations. Take (OTC) tylenol (acetaminophen) or ibuprofen if there is pain.
Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
I've been doing pretty well. I start out the night by sleeping upright then I lay down. Now I have to sleep with my t.v. on or I get sick. i find it weird. I need to resolve this before I take a trip for 5 days with my marching band or I'm going to get sick every night. I also have a really bad sinus congestion going on right now. It's been going on for about 2 weeks and I'm not sure why it won't go away.
Hello and hope you are doing well.
Try not to eat big meals, more so in the night. Also, ensure to take an early dinner.
When I go to friends houses my stomach almost always gets upset.
I thought back to a little before my stomach problems started. I had the burning problem in my throat when the acid gets into the back of it. I get sick if I go to sleep stuffed.
Hello and hope you are feeling better.
If your symptoms persist, OTC antacids can help in reducing acid levels and your symptoms. In addition to this, medical treatment with Proton pump inhibitors prescribed by your doctor may further help.

I do find that if I eat little to no food at dinner, I dont get sick. It also helps if I sleep on my stomach.
Your symptoms of pain, and the need to sleep in a recliner could all be attributed to GERD, (Gastro Esophageal Reflux Disease), where the acid contents of the stomach come up into the esophagus. Consult your doctor regarding this, in the meantime you could try some life style measures. Take frequent small meals. Eat dinner about two hours before sleeping. Elevate the head end of the bed. Keep a food diary and note down what aggravates your symptoms and avoid them. Ensure to maintain optimum weight by regular exercise. Avoid non steroidal anti inflammatory medications NSAID's, quit smoking, eliminate alcohol and reduce stress levels. These measures need to be practiced long term for results.
