Do you know of a good "non-addictive" sleep aid?

I've struggled with depression off and on for 15+ years. After trying many different SNRI/SSRIs, I've settled for the combination of Bupropion + Prozac, and it seems to be working well for me so far ... but there's this one problem.

I tend to feel tired thru out the day when I'm depressed, Bupropion is helping to correct that so I can function. But now I have a hard time falling asleep at night, which was never a problem before. I've been using Xanax (prescribed for my anxiety issue) to sleep but it's highly addictive, so I don't want to develop a dependence on it. I've tried melatonin, but it doesn't do much for me.

I'm thinking of asking my doctor for some kind of sedative that I can take on an as-needed basis, and I'm wondering if anyone can recommend me something. I'd like to do my own research and know what are available (and if my insurance covers, etc) before I talk to my doctor. Any input is appreciated. :)

Have you tried zopiclone? (imovane). It's not a benzo or anything, so most docs are totally down with giving this to patients.

Thank you for your advice! A friend of mine suggested Hydroxyzine.
I have an appo. with my doctor later next week. I'll consult with her about both medicines.
Hope it all went well for you!
