"Shanti" or similar ashwaganda pills or powder help much with sleep ?

Does it seem to help lower stress, anxiety, supposedly by lowering stress hormone cortisol ?? If so, a little or lot ?

You know, we never had success with ashwaganda pills. At all. We DID find success with melatonin. It's worked well for both of my sons and myself. I have a son with anxiety and sleep issues and we tried ashwaganda to no avail. It did literally nothing.

I finally was able to get some. "Nature's Bounty" "Stress Relief"... Walmart groceries delivery... 300mg extract says = 1200 mgs root... tried over week each night... 1, 2, 3, 4 pills ... no sleep help realized... saw other similar products claiming adding black pepper increases absorption 20 x's so added 1/4 teaspoon that in warm milk... still no sleep help... my melatonin has worked for many yrs... but ofcourse i've needed more and more of it... at this point i likely need to stay off melatonin for week or more to reduce the tolerance built up and the tired worn out receptors of it to refresh reset... dixylamine succinate and phenylhydramine chloride still getting me to sleep but getting near resistant to them too.
