Dreams/Nightmares that feel real and I can't wake myself up

Okay, So every now and then I will have a dream or dreams that really scare me. Pretty much its a dream I'm having and I'm myself... in my bed. In my dream I will open my eyes and see human figures but usually I can't tell who it is. If I can't its dark like a shadow. Sometimes its one, or sometimes it a few figures. These dreams/visions always happen just as I'm falling asleep (ya know when your mind starts to wonder right before you doze off, eyes are closed and everythign but you are still conscious).... that stage is when I realize that I'm about to have one of these scary dreams. so I'll either opt to stay awake or turn the lights on for a minute then try to sleep again. The most recent one I had, I was asleep in my bed with my boyfriend...in the dream I opened my eyes and I saw out of the corner of my room a strange figure of a man walking towards my bed.... I cant do anything, I cant move and I can't talk... at this point I'm scared and I know I am ony dreaming. Well I try to wake my self up I try so hard to be able to speak and call my boyfriends name... and this is all while i'm asleep... that right as I wake up I blurt out a noise( the kidna noise you would make if you were trying really hard at something but not saying anything and then all of a sudden noise comes out) It's so frustrating. And in the dream I feel paralyzed like I can't even get up and run. All I can do is lay there... and If I don't wake up before the person gets to me... I can feel the "person" on top of me... literally..I feel their breathe... I feel it all... and what gets me is I KNOW I'm dreaming... and i try to wake up but I cant. and even though I'm aware that I'm dreaming I still know that I'm feeling whoever is on my bed or whatever)
The first time I had one of these very realistic dreams was a couple years ago the night after I drank mooshine for the first time.... ha yeah. (Basically I had a really bad case of the spins alll day the next day and I felt completely out of whack) Well that night as I just went to sleep I was dreaming that I was driving a car and the wheel starting to slowly turn to the left and right as I was about to hit a car my body jerked and I woke up. I stayed awake for a min or 2 then went back to sleep... thats when it all went down hill. The next dream I had... I was in my bed (by the way all these dreams are from my point of view...1st person) and I woke up to see a frightening girl with long black stringy hair and a horrible face, on her hands and knees on top of me just looking at me and breathing heavily.... I swear to god it felt so real.... The only thing I could think to do was hide under the blanket... but right before i drew the balnket over my eyes she slowly, very slowy moved her face inwards towards me. I knew I was dreaming but I could not wake up... Well once I did wake up... well I thought I did... I looked to the left of my bed and there was a about 3 people just sitting in my room... it didnt scare me at first cuz I thought I was awake and I figured maybe it is some freiends surprsiing me... but just as I tried to get a closer look a person who was laying on the floor next to my bed sat up right in my face! It scared the livivng **** outta me. that's when I really for real woke up. Anways I couldnt go back to sleep for a few hours I was a little frightened... I felt as though I would get stuck in a dream like that... And I wanted to avoid haveing another one like that again... I did go to sleep that night however all of the lights in my room were on....
I know this is really long. But I just wanted to know if anyone has experienced the same thing or something similar. I'eve had more but I don't want to write a whole novel here but if someone can relate then please let me know!

Well I have been having the same nightmares. But without the shady figures.... I simply can't get up and really want to... It's as if time is moving very slow . I try screaming and only seem to mumble in my dream I don't know if I'm making any real noise because my fiance is always sleeping when I have these dreams.... I try moving and shaking and almost get myself awake but the feel myself drifting off to the right and down deeper into the pillow.... It feels like forever before I can wake myself up ...I usually sleep with a loaded 9mm under ny bed but can never think to do anything with it in these night mares.... It all started when I read on the internet about controlling your dreams by slowly making yourself drift to sleep.... I also have a problem with pain meds... Not sure if that has anything to do with it or not... But I do kno for a fact it is everything to do with stress ...  Like I said I never had the shady figures but now after reading all these storys I'm sure I will thanks alot lol

I recently had a nightmare, about 20 minutes ago to be exact. I was in some sort of bedroom asleep with my sister, and my mom and this detective I guess he was, he had no stated his name, but I didn't know him. The detective told me that some Guy had been pulling up windows and sticking his hand in trying to get it, and they discovered he had some sort of bacteria on him. I knew as soon as soon as I was told this is was going to happen. They left the room and I looked behind me to make sure my window was locked, and lucky for me it was, because there the Guy was standing outside trying to open the window. I was scared, but all I did was stare at him, until he looked at me then I became very frightened and ran down the hallway desperately screaming for my mother, but I have had nightmares where I cannot scream, so I've learned from that and I was trying to bang on the walls, sometimes I would get a few words out, but as I was banging on the walls my arms became weak. I couldn't bang anymore. It was as if the farther I got away from the bad Guy, the more harder it was to perform actions. I felt alone, and finally I stopped in the hallway, because I knew that he was waiting for me. My mom and the detective came behind me and said there was an intruded, that I needed to follow them. As we walked through doors I seen my dad, someone I grew up with that abused, and gave me terrible nightmares, and he was trying to help me? I didn't understand this. However as we walked down the long hallway to the office, there the "bad Guy" stood at the end of the hall. I didn't understand why, but he only seen my. Not my mother, father, or the detective. It's as if he was going to stop at nothing. He sort of flew toward me, meaning he either had no feet or I just couldn't see them, coming so fast I barley had time to react, and when I did react it had to be about the stupidest thing to do. I started running toward him, facing my fear I guess you'd say, and I put my arm out, he grabbed my hand and bit me, and I just knew that was the end because of the "bacteria" the detective had told me back. But it wasn't. The Guy had a hold of me, and al he did was scratch me, I could feel it to, literally which made it worse. I could move now, I could scream now. But as soon as I got away it changed, I was quiet and slow, no one could hear me. I ran into this office building, it kinda looked like those cat house things, but for humans. The oddest thing happened then. I could see myself running, climbing up these houses and hiding under a desk, and I could see the bad Guy looking for me. I knew he was close, and as soon as he had found me I was right back in my body, with him staring at me. I had seen his face before, although it wasn't a face it was a mask of course. It looked like a clown I had seen somewhere, but I'm not afraid of clowns so it hadn't made sense. I wokeup and I was breathing heavy, and sweating but it was really cold in my room. Where he had bit my hand was red, and my back is really sore. My bed is very comfortable, I sleep alone. I just don't know why I have nightmares like this.

**NO ONE IS BEING DEMONIZED. IT FEELS VERY SCARY, YES, HOWEVER OUR BRAINS ARE INCREDIBLY COMPLEX. IT IS SLEEP PARALYSIS WHERE YOU ARE IMPROPERLY SWITCHING FROM REM SLEEP WHERE YOU MUSCLES ARE NORMALLY INACTIVE TO KEEP YOU FROM ACTING OUT YOUR DREAMS...**THEN, YOUR BRAIN CREATES AN EXPLANATION FOR WHAT YOU ARE FEELING (THE PARALYSIS) LIKE A BACKSTORY WHICH IS WHY SO MANY OF THESE EXPERIENCES POSTED ARE VERY DIFFERENT IN THE DETAILS. IF IT WERE A DEMON, EVERYONE WOULD EXPERIENCE A DEMON. INSTEAD SOME EXPERIENCE DEMONS, ALIENS, MONSTERS, DARK FIGURES, LIGHT FIGURES, ANIMALS, A MAN, A WOMAN, ANYTHING YOUR BRAIN COMES UP WITH TO EXPLAIN WHY YOU CAN'T MOVE. I DON'T KNOW HOW MANY PEOPLE HAVE EXPERIENCED SOMETHING SIMILAR LIKE A NOISE THAT HAPPENED IN REALITY BUT WAS INCORPORATED INTO YOUR DREAM ALONG WITH A WHOLE BACKSTORY LEADING UP TO THAT NOISE THAT BASICALLY EXPLAINED THE NOISE. LOOKING BACK IT FEELS LIKE YOUR DREAM WAS PREDICTING THE NOISE, BUT IT ACTUALLY SENSE THE NOISE THEN CREATED THE DREAM. SAME THING WITH THE SLEEP PARALYSIS.

IT IS STILL SCARY AND IF IT IS FREQUENT, SEEK SLEEP HELP AS IT COULD BE A SIGN OF SLEEP APNEA OR SOME OTHER SLEEPING DISORDER. SORRY FOR THE CAPS BUT BELIEVING IT IS EVIL WILL GIVE YOU MORE NIGHTMARES AND DISRUPT YOUR VALUABLE SLEEP.

You are being deamonized (encountering a visitation by a harrassing evil spirit). I used to get "slammed" by night terrors daily for more than a decade.  I eventually learned how to get rid of them, which can only be done through the power of the Holy Spirit when you receive Jesus. I know how to get them now. Quickly. Here's what works for me: 1. I remind the enemy (in my thoughts because I can't speak due to the paralysis) that he has no legal claim to me because I am under the blood of Jesus. Sometimes, however, I experience being chocked, strangled, or worse when I mention the name of Jesus in my thoughts. This is because the enemy can not stand to hear the name of Jesus because there is power in it. If  #1 does not work try this, which has NEVER failed me, #2) I remind the devil of his eternal destination: that he will be rotting in hell for all of eternity and I will be in paradise with the Lord. Seriously, the enemy CAN NOT STAND to be confronted with the truth about his destiny. The demon/deamons usually leave after I remind them (in my mind because of the paralysis) of hell about three times. When you remind the spirit of hell it will eventually begin to shake violently and lift off of you. When you do this you flip the script. The enemy wants to harass and terrorize you, however, when you remind an evil spirit of hell they run terrorized by the authority that the Holy Spirt places in you. So, you end up terrorizing them!!!

My boyfriend, who was a Muslim raised under Sharia Law, told me that people in Arab nations experience night terrors regularly. They even know that they are being harassed by an evil spirit. I told him the next time this happens to cry out to Jesus and see what happens. So, he was deamonized and first he cried out to Allah (in his mind). The deamon did not leave and continued to harass him. Then he cried out to Jesus (in his mind because of the paralysis) for help and the evil spirit fled immediately. Bottom line is if you receive Jesus, you can make these things flee by the power of the Holy Spirit who lives inside of you. Good Luck to all of you!!!! I promise if you test this it will work.... cry out to the Lord when you are experiencing a night terror and see what happens. Then post a comment! Can't wait to hear about it...
