Hi,
You could possibly be suffering from sleep paralysis. It occurs shortly before falling asleep. The person cannot move any body part and has very little control over breathing. This is followed by hallucinations like hearing strange sounds etc.
One of the causes of sleep paralysis is stress, others include irregular sleep schedules, sleep deprivation, and sudden environmental changes.
I would suggest you to do not stay awake past your bedtime, make sure you get sufficient physical exercise during the day. Also please schedule an appointment with a sleep specialist as soon as possible.
it sounds like your having panic attacks and when you start dozing off you are already dreading the feelings your gonna have so sorta pre-dispose yourself to the panic,,a lot of people with panic, anxiety and depression have paranoia which could be the cause of hearing strange noises or voices. here is a link it will give you some info
