I also have sleep problems.....can't go to sleep until after 2 or 3 am and then wake up 2 or 3 times before morning comes....  I've been using melatonin (pills) for years and had minimal results (better than nothing) as well as prescription meds which ALWAYS made me feel drowsy and "foggy" minded the next day, at least until noon.

SO....I have found enlyten Melatonin Strips; Melatonin plus Theanine on a strip!  Because the products are absorbed through the buccal mucosa of the mouth directly into the bloodstream, it takes only minutes to feel the results AND there is 85% to 90% absorption (as compared to 40% to 45% with pills).  The best thing about enlyten melatonin strips is that once I go to sleep, I stay asleep ALL night and I wake up clear-minded and ready for my day!

Google sleep hygiene and apply the principles there. If you have delayed sleep phase syndrome, it may take a lot of diligence to turn this around. If there's any chance you could have any sleep disorders that need treated, check that out. I used to avoid sleep till I crashed, I think instinctually because sleep was not only miserable but dangerous, since I had sleep apnea.

Turning my hours around required me getting up early even if I hadn't slept, and not taking a nap. After two days and nights of this, I was watching the clock waiting for it to be late enough to go to bed.  Unfortunately, giving in to a night of staying up late causes me to have to start over again.

Hope you work it out and get on a better schedule.
