Why do I keep seeing spiderwebs on my kid's face

I don't normally let my 3 year sleep with me because he takes over my bed. I just found out that I've been dealing with sleep paralysis, I'm scared one nite I might hurt my baby, but every time he sleeps with me, I wake up and see his face covered in spiderwebs and I panic... I don't want to hurt my son... What is this? And why is this happening?

Hello and hope you are doing well.

During sleep, the body cycles between non-REM and REM sleep. Typically, people begin the sleep cycle with a period of non-REM sleep followed by a very short period of REM sleep. Dreams generally occur in the REM stage of sleep.

Disorders related to dreaming could occur with REM sleep behavior disorders. Here the person acts out the dreams.

This can be assessed by a sleep questionnaire and a sleep study and therapy is based on the severity of symptoms. If your symptoms persist, I would advise you to discuss your symptoms with your primary care physician who may then refer you to a sleep specialist for further evaluation.

Hope this helped and do keep us posted.

It might be stress triggering your spider-webs. I would maybe try and de-stress and talk to a doctor. If your afraid of hurting your son i wouldn't let him sleep in the same bed just as a precautionary measure. I hope that this helps.
