MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi, welcome to the forum, a detailed history is needed which will help to come to a conclusive diagnosis. There is a history of palpitation during sleep. Palpitation is common during weak family conditions, stress and responsibilities etc.

The medical causes needs to be ruled out like low blood sugar, hyperthyroid state, cardiac abnormality etc. You should quit coffee, smoking, tea, alcohol, heavy meal which can trigger blood pressure and cardiac load leading to palpitations. Get an ECG to rule out any heart condition, blood sugar, thyroid status. If any medical condition found, should be treated accordingly.

Reduce weight if overweight. You need to share your problems with someone close. Comfortable bed, mild music, warm water bath before sleep will help you in sound sleep. You need a suggestion therapy and few medications to alleviate the anxiety. You should go for morning exercise and hear relaxation music. I would suggest you to consult psychiatrist and discuss the problems. Take care and regards.

Stress and worry can cause palpitations. Try listening to a meditation relaxation tape or read a self help positive book, that seems to work for me.I go thru the same things when I have too much stress or worry on my mind, it feels like I can feel my heart jumping right out of my chest. I take a few long deep breaths then it calms me down and my heart to relax..Good luck :)
