memory loss

I have had sleep apnea for many years and recently I have been experiencing short periods of memory loss . I will be doing something then I will forget what I was doing or where I am . It only lasts for 5 to 15 seconds then I am back to normal and I remember what I was doing and where I am.  I am able to function during these episodes . It seems to happen when I am relaxed as apposed to when I am concentrating on something. Any idea as to what is happening ? Thanks

Are you being treated for your sleep apnea? If so, maybe your pressure needs have changed and you're having apneas that are disturbing your sleep. Sleep disturbance can affect short term memory - it sure did mine.
