Normal Sleep required by our body

I had this question in my mind for quite a while, how much hours of sleep does a human body require. Normally it is 8 hrs, but is with a busy schedule 8 hrs is not possible, how does one cope up with improper sleep.

But is there a difference in male and female sleep pattern, as I usually find mens sleep for longer time than women.

At least 6 is enough but all depends on the age..As long as your getting your REMS which is usually 2 hrs into sleep you will wake up feeling refreshed. I sometimes get 2 hrs, 4 hrs..It's the Quality of sleep that matters not the quantity of sleep.. Good luck, try reading a good book to help make you tired, not all people NEED 8 rs sleep to live a healthy life
