Helllloooooo;) so tonight is my 2nd night of gonal-F @ 225!  I'm excited but a but nervous because my dose is kind of high, I think anyway!  I was on 150 when I did gonal last July, & I produced 2-3 big follies in my one little ovary ;o)

Doing meds is hard for me a bit, only cuz I TRY to live as much of an "organic" life as much as possible, & here I am injecting hormones in me.....kind of like those "bad" ;) farmers do to cows! LoL!!!

The things we do to speed things up!  I'm gonna do only a few cycles at the most (hopefully only this one!) then I don't....
Probably just try totally natural ;o). I have another acupuncture app. On Wednesday after my US. I also looked up accupressure points last night & now my ears are RED! Hahaha!  There's a few points there for fertility ;o}

lots of luck & happiness to all my girlfriends ;)

Hi Laura!

Living the organic life is great, but sometimes ya gotta take advantage of the help that's out there! A little boost! So very best of luck and lotsa SSBD for you and everyone!

We're going to wait a month or two before trying again, but I want to keep up on how everyone else here is doing! Also want to learn more about some of these ART's and stim medications, as I might be there sooner than later!

I saw my new RE today and I LOVE her! She is sharp, thorough, kind, patient, and every other great adjective there is! I could tell she really wants to get to the bottom of my recurrent chemical pregnancies. She ordered lots of labs and another HSG (last one was in 1998) so maybe we'll figure out something soon! :-)

Thanks so much for your note! I appreciate it! I am thinking as positive as possible! I know that all this (TTC) will go alot easier when my health is better and I am stronger! In the mean time, I will live vicariously through you guys! :-) And DH2B and I will do alot of "practicing" as we call it!

Hi Savanha,

Thanks so much for being the keeper of all this information. I just wanted to let you know that I've unfortunately been in the process of miscarrying since last week. My hCG levels were down to 19 on Friday, and I'm going in this morning to have blood drawn again to see if they're below 5 yet. So, yes, I got my second BFP au naturale, but it either got stuck in my tube or it was chemical. I'll keep trying!

Thanks,
Breezy

My AF has always been heavy with lots of cramping too (except when I was on the Pill), but she's changed over the years. She's usually still heavy for day, but she's gotten shorter with age. Anyway, the tissue I passed Saturday night was not normal for me. It was grey and looked like a sac of some sort--definitely its own entity. I called my RE yesterday and he said it might be what's known as a decidual cast, which would, indeed, determine that my pregnancy was most likely ectopic. I'm taking the tissue in today to see if they can tell me what it is. Of course, the hope is still that the fertilized egg made it to the uterus, so I'm hoping that the tissue is NOT a decidual cast, but I looked up pictures of it online and it does look kinda similar. Hard to tell.

I'll let ya know when I do.

Ladies,

Thank you for the updates.

Breezy: Again, I'm so sorry about your m/c, but I am encouraged that you DID conceive twice naturally against the naying odds. ;o) (smile is about the naysayers) Keep up the good research & application...we know it works. (((HuGs)))

Laura: You have to do what you can. I totally understand, because I use to say when I was much younger that I'd Never have surgery. ;o) At least you are incorporating Eastern w/Western and hopefully that will be the answer. What CD are you on?

Sherrie: Sounds like you hit the proverbial jackpot with your new RE. She sounds like a dream come true. ;o) Shows how sad the majority (seems like) of Res/Infertility Clinics are...always so neg when it comes to more mature women. Congrats to you and I hope to hear great news soon.

I am now cd22 and it's been 3 dp trigger.  (Long story short, last Mon. had one18mm on right (bad side) and one 13-14mm on left.  Nurse thought I'd ovulate on my own but I know better so I went in on Friday, had two 18mm on right and one 14mm on left.  Triggered next day.  Now just waiting but it's unlikely to happen this month. They said they have had 14mm result  in pregnancies but not often.  Why couldn't the TWO 18's have been on the left!  Dang it!)

I'm not sure why the right side is the "bad" side,  but I do know that you simply never know what might happen. Definitely keep us updated. I'm hoping for you!!

Thanks for the support. It's true--it does give me hope that I've been pregnant twice, against the odds. I just wish so badly that this whole thing with my tubes hadn't happened.

At any rate, I took my tissue to the RE yesterday. He said if it can be analyzed, it will be and they'll get the results to me in a week. I'm hoping that it was not a decidual cast (more indicative of an ectopic pregnancy), but I'd rather have the answers than not.

If I go quiet for awhile, it's b/c I'm going to 10,000 appointments and working 'til 10 every night, but I'll definitely be back with the tissue results when (if) I get them!

Good luck to all!

When they were going to remove my left tube (due to a hydrosalpinx), I was worried about ovulating from that side and not being able to conceive those months. But the doctor explained that it happens all the time that a woman will ovulate from the side with no tube and get pregnant anyway b/c the egg manages to get picked up by the tube on the other side. So don't lose hope on the months that you ovulate from the "wrong" side!

A little update;  Yesterday I went to my D6 US after being on Gonal-F 225 IU for 3 nights (BTW I do my injections kinda late @ 10:30 PM, I keep forgetting to tell my RE!)  Anyway, I had 4 nice follies growing @ 15x13, 14x14, 14x12 & 13x12  They're all almost perfectly round, the RE (she's not mine) said that was good;)  Didn't think to ask her "why is round good ....I ALWAYS ask questions! LOL

My lining still needs to thicken up it was @ a 6 but I'm sure it will by the time I O, they need to see it @ an 8 when they trigger you.

My E2 came back @ 284, &I spoke to my RE & he said that it was perfect;o)  I told him I'm going to acupuncture & doing acupressure on myself through out the day, & he said "well, whatever you're doing is working, so keep doing it" ;o)  So, he kept me on 225IU's for last night & tonight, & I go back tomorrow for another US & b/w!

I'm "visualizing"  that they are going to be all 4CM's bigger ;o)
I hope SOOO bad that one (or 2!) healthy eggies sticks ;)

So that's me for now!

Hi! Thanks for the update. Yes, keep doing what you're doing! Always nice when one's doc approves and notes the effectiveness of what we're doing.

Best wishes!

Sorry I haven't updated. Af arrived and now I'm CD 4. I also went to the GP just to have some tests and they say they're all normal (FSH, EP, day 2??) I have progesterone test on CD21 and then I might visit a specialist just to see what they say. Of course I hope I'll be pregnant this month anyway.

I feel great but got a bit down in the week before af as I was pretty sure I wasn't pregnant.

I also have to be 100% honest and say recent events at the 35+ board kind of freaked me out a bit.

what happened on the 35 plus board?

also a question for you other ladies regarding bbts.  How high does your temp increase after ovulation?  my temps were hovering around 97.2, then jumped to 97.6 at ovulation, and now has jumped to 98.1 to 98.4...it did this last month too. I'm about 7 days dpo.

and does anyone have experience with underactive thyroid. from what i'm reading online, my low body temps, low blood pressure, depression, etc could be signs of an underactive thyroid.  thanks, catherine

My temps do the exact same things!  You should go look @ my chart!  VERY similar ;o)

Pum; OMGOSH!   I agree w/you!  I think it got a bit crazy too! YIKES!

Tree; Thanks hun ;)  I feel good about this cycle ;o)  Don't want to get my hopes to high, but I DO feel really positive & happy about it ;o)

Can't wait to see my little follies tomorrow LOL  I'm a nerd ;)

I think it's just one of the risks of the internet. That it is hard sometimes to know what is real and what isn't. This board is the first time I've been brave enough even to use my real name.

Sorry I do my temps in deg C. They go from 36.2 (97.1) then up to 36.6 (97.9).

Ita: positive and happy is always a good thing.

Sounds good!! Definitely keep us updated and we'll keep hoping for you!

Catherine,

I was diagnosed with a subclinical hypothyroidism in October. My acupuncturist predicted it before I had the blood work, due to some of my answers to her questions (weight gain in the past couple of years, some sadness, tend to be cold). I didn't think much of the symptoms, though, b/c one of my closest friends suddenly died almost 3 years ago (hence, the depression), I completely stopped exercising and started eating a bunch of junk (hence, the weight gain), and I've always been cold.

Anyway, I now take a natural (Rx) thyroid medication. They said it would make me feel completely better in a matter of weeks, but I haven't noticed a difference. Hypothyroidism, however, can interfere with your ability to get pregnant and to stay pregnant, so I strongly recommend you get checked. When they do your blood work, just ask them to check your thyroid levels as well. The thing is, many doctors will say you're in a normal range when, for pregnancy purposes, you might not be. I think it's the TSH number that they WANT to see BELOW 2. If it's not below 2, my current RE is not happy.

Hope that helps!

Breezy; Thanks hun ;o)

Acupuncturist are smart ;)  I hope so bad you get a healthy BFP VERY VERY soon ;)

AFM; Today I went in for my CD8 US b/w........well, I had this morning, 5 FOLLIES now in my one lil ovary ;)
21x15, 20x13, 17x15, 16x14, & 14x13!!!  I was a little nervous & my RE says to me " I'm not one bit worried about you having quintuplets, it's just not going to happen, "IF" we get one good egg, that will be a success!  Remember, (he says to me) only 1 out of 10 of your eggs are any good"!
OMGOSH!!!!!!!!!  Good thing I like him!  I said to him when he said everything looked good, that not too bad for only having one ovary, & being 40 1/2!  He says to me, yeah, you're not getting any younger, it's only going to get harder"!

I though, WOW, GOOD thing I don't have low self esteem!!!  I was laughing when the nurse was taking my blood, cuz I said to her how MEAN & RAW he is, & she quietly said, yeah sometimes I can't believe the things he says to his patients..BUT he just doesn't want to give out false hope, & a lot of RE's do that"

I think he just has "short man" complex LOL  He's seriously like 5'2" ;)  BUT I really do LOV his staff, & he's not too bad, I KNOW I probably bug him w/all my questions/comments, but I DON'T CARE LOL

Oh, & my e2 is great, it was @ 715.....so tonight will probably the last night for me on Gonal.....HOPEFULLY forever!!!!  @ 225 IU's, & I go tomorrow & hopefully trigger ;o)

Thats it for now!  Hope everyone is doing well!

Hello E/O,

I am sorry I haven't been here in a while.  I have been so busy with College, kids, and husband.   Anyway, update for me:  I am on CD 16, tried not to think about ttc this cycle, we were taking a break.  Next cycle we will be back on track.  DH has been taking Maca and a multi vit for the past month, his little swimmers needed some help to mature and get faster.

Me, still taking prenatal, flaxseed oil and now Maca too.   Cross your fingers.   I will keep yall posted.

SSBD to all,
Steph

I think I'll say I'm in the TWW, since I feel that I just ovulated (or am ovilating now), although 3 days early. Must have been that full moon.

Still all-natural, eating good food and taking fish oil and DHEA.
