I feel as if I'm not getting enough air?

Hi, I'm 16 and this problem has been happening since yesterday evening, I would think about my breathing to the point where I have to manually inhale myself, I don't think about my breathing anymore but I have this sensation where, whenever I take a breath I feel as if I don't get enough of air into my lungs, it's like I'm only filling half of my lungs with air or I'm in a really tight room where I can't get enough oxygen. that's the best way I could explain it. I have to take deep breaths every time to reassure myself that I'm okay, but whenever I take deep breaths the sensation comes back. Can anybody tell me if this is normal? I can't go to the doctor because I can't drive just yet and I have to come in with a parent. I also don't have asthma.
