I'm an 18 year old girl and recently I have experienced itchyness around my nipples. Also, I have noticed some bumps (somewhat like pimples) in the same area. I had thought the itchiness was due to the dry climate I live in and it was just because of dry skin. But I am concerned and wonder if I should be doing something. Also, I believe one of the bumps got scratched or something because it has become red. There is no puss or anything.
I am on birth control and have been for a few months, and it occured to me that it might have something to do with that.

Any answers would be greatly appreciated.

Having bigger breasts can cause back pain, shoulder pain and neck pain.

It could be a reaction from the birth control pills or it could be an infection, like yeast.  Sometimes when women sweat in our bras, the moisture can irritate the skin.  You can try some hydrocortisone cream-just use as directed but it might not be a bad idea to check in with your doctor-you might need antibiotics.

It may have something to with the birth control. Have you went and talked with your doctor.
