Itchy Vagina

Im fourteen and have had sex several times with the same partner, who has never had sex with another partner either. There was only once we didn't use protection, several weeks ago, and I took a morning after pill; I have had my period since, so i'm not pregnant. So I just finished my period and for the first time no blood escaped and stained my undies, but now my vagina is really itchy and red, with a warm burning sensation (but not an incredibly intense burning, more like a 'humming'). It feels dry and sore. My clitoris is also itchy. I'm wondering if this could have to do with an infection or irritation because of the tampons and whether it will go away in a few days. I also wonder if herpes can be passed between two people who have only had each other as a partner.

I also got severe diarrhea last night, and couldn't run to the toilet before I soiled myself. It wasn't uncomfortable, just surprising and embarrassing. I've just given up chocolate and fizzy drink, so i've altered my diet massively as they were my primary sources of food.

Could the two be connected in any way?

You shoud have gotten him tested before you have sex. Even if he didnt have sex with anyone else it's a good idea to be assured. I am also 14 and i kinda understand what you might be talking about. Also it is actually still possible to get an STD even if both of you havent had sex. The burning and itching part and the redness does sound kinda like symptoms of an STD. i recommend seeing a doctor and talking to your parents or a trusted adult about your problems. Good luck with everything! I hope it turns out okay.

One thing you must always consider is that it IS possible that while you may have been a virgin when you went to bed with your boyfriend, he may have NOT been totally honest with you about sleeping with another girl before you. You have no solid proof he hasn't slept with someone else. Having said that, if that was the case, he may have contracted an STD and passed it on to you. I believe the percentage of teens having sex while having an STD is 3 out of every 4 teens. You may also have a yeast infection that is causing the itching. Yeast loves to live and grow in warm, moist areas of the body. Talk to your mother about this and have a visit with your doctor. Drinking cranberry juice can be a good thing, but it isn't an antibiotic.

The itching and burning could be an early sign of a yeast infection or maybe even a uti(urinary trct infecton). my advice drink lots of cranberyy if it is either of the two the cranberry juice will help alot. However, you may want to talk to your doctor about the itching because it could very well be a casue from the tampons you are using if they re scented but that is very unlikely if you are itching on the outside. You may also want to talk to your mother about it she can help out alot. Honestly though sweetie youre 14 stop having sex...i know what it is like to loose your virginity at such a young age but trust me when i say it slow down nd if you dont at least talk to your mom about birth control condoms dont always work and youre too young to be a mommy.
