Please help - need answers

Hi,
i'm currently 19 and before now i have been on the nuvaring for four months. I had to get off it for a month or two b/c of insurance issues, however i had gotten my periods normally while on the ring and off, with white discharge normally (as in before my period and after). This month august - sept i was able to get the ring back and i went right back on it. i am sexually active and this month more so. while i was on the ring, this was about three days before i was supposed to removed it, i started having some brown discharge. it is basically light brownish and has the same consistency and texture almost like i would see with white discharge. i removed the ring a day before i was supposed to in hopes my period would come down faster. i went to a gyn to check it incase of infection, but beside a mild yeast infection there was nothing wrong. i am supposed to get my period this week...but i am really worried that i might be pregnant since i've been researching sites about this for help.
please help me set my worries to rest...or...prove them right what ever the case may be.

I hope you are right...and the first week...i didn't but i thought that it would be okay since i only jst missed a month or two (on the ring) and When i first started the ring i didnt know the one week rule and when the condom broke i panicked but i was fine...but im panicking now (with the one week reminder) which could also push my period back and induce symptoms of pregnancy w/o being pregnant (psychology ***** haha).

It could just be your body readjusting to the hormones of the birth control again, which is very common and what I think is going on. Though did you use a secondary form of birth control in the beginning? Typically, when you start any new hormonal birth control regiment, you need to use back up(condoms) for at least a week, but usually about a month long before the hormonal birth control becomes effective. I can't tell you if you are pregnant or not, as you will just have to wait and take a home pregnancy test to find out. You can take a home pregnancy test 2 weeks after having sex and get an accurate result, or just wait until after a missed/late period, if that is the case. Hope it all goes well.
