Am I an impatient patient?

I am able to access test results online with my HMO. I have the results for the tsh and free t4, but am
waiting on the free t3, TG, and cortisol. I'm not sure how long these usually take to come back. I just
had the labs drawn yesterday morning.

Hee hee, I like that joke! I am always surprised when I am in USA how often I get asked Do you guys do July fourth? I just look at them with a sarcastic look on my face...they go  Wha--at?? I say.. I am Australian, I know we do alot of your stuff but we aren't owned by you!

We have Australia Day on January 26th. Allegedly when Captain Cook first landed at Botany Bay (he named it!) in 1776. It never used to be a big thing here when I was growing up, in fact most people were like, 'Huh? Australia Day, when's that?' But now it is becoming more of a big thing. BBQ's, beach, rar rar rar! Sadly it is turning into a, dare I say it?, an Americanised kind of thing. But I guess that's what you get when you copy America's culture! (Don't get me started on how our language has changed!)

As for the cortisol I remembered it took mine a few days. deb is right about that. The rest are usually same or next day.

I saw in Bend Oregon where I am heading to first was 81 today...now that's my kind of temperature....You can keep your 100! I turn into a melted candle at that!  Our winter has been much colder than the past 18 years here! We were all starting to wonder if winter was really a season!
Cheers!

I have FT3, FT4 and TSH done in the morning and faxed to me by 2.30pm that day.
But I do know the Cortisol takes a few days.
Mine did as it had to go to Sydney (I'm in Melbourne) so I had to wait 2 1/2 days for that one.

I sent my endo an e-mail. With my HMO, and I actually work for the same
organization, phone calls lead to voice mail at best. You'd think I had an "in"
working for them! Not the same department, but, nope. Just another patient.
Oh well, at least my endo reads her e-mails on weekends. Here, July 3rd is
observed as a holiday with most businesses, so their offices are probably
closed. And of course, July 4th IS a holiday for us! Okay, so now that I've
brought that up, do you have a celebration like ours, with big fireworks and
fun? There's a stupid joke that goes something like, do they have a 4th of
July in (fill in the country's name here)? As Americans, we're trained to think
of it as Independence Day, not a day in July, so most would answer "no".
But, yes, "they" do have a 4th of July, just like a 3rd of July and a 5th of July!
Told ya, it's a dumb joke. Anyway, it's winter for you right now and I have the
window open with the fan on. 100 degrees here during the day! Are you sure
you want to visit? LOL

I know here they take only a day or so. Maybe you should call them up and find out?
Aren't we all impatient when it comes to wanting to know our results! (cheeky wink!)

Sorry to bump this up, but does anyone know how long the free t3 test usually takes?
I guess the answer to my original question is, yes, I am an impatient patient. :)
