Thyroid issue are becoming a Hot Topic on the News these days

For the past two days, i have seen stories on the news based on thyroid issues. One was about a woman whose had a TT through a small incision verses the normal large incision due to a nodular goiter and as i'm watching this story, i'm wondering why all of a sudden?? Thyroid issues have been around forever, it just seems as if the doctors aren't diagnosing their patients. It's great though because it brings awareness to those who may have been diagnosed w/an illness that they do not have.....

About time! Now I'm waiting for doctors to recognize Hashimoto's as an auto-immune disease, and not just a low thyroid problem.
