Bruce, the sky does not fall for everyone that is on Levothyroxine. OK? You need a good doctor that will take time to figure out what your deal is. When I was severely hypo this spring, even taking ERFA was he//, but I went through it and am now better. I felt like crap 45 min after taking it till my body got use to it.
To the best of my knowledge, dreeftwppd was only thinking of starting Levo just a few weeks ago, and in a comment of his above he stated this weird foot sensation has been going on for about four months - so its not from Levo. Levo could, and most likely will work for deeftwppd.
I had a bad reaction to Nature Throid, do I tell the world that it will most certainly happen to them? - No because it works for many.
My guess is that you already have some neuropothy in your feet that could either be herediatary, from nerve damage (maybe from surgery, cycts, bad feet etc), or from trauma that is being exasterbated by the levo. I noticed that when i was on the meds, the neuropothy in my feet got a lot worse. I also developed tingling in my left hand as well. Its amazing some of the horrible things levo will do to you. Of course if you went and saw doctors they will probably tell you its not from the levo or whatever you are taking. Also I had other symptoms such as a stiff neck (almost electrical), popping noises in my joints, popping in my back, my wrist, my ankles. Lots of weird aches and pains. In fact, my right finger was sore for about a week from wearing my wedding ring.
good to hear it is nothing to worry about. I hope my sis gets an answer soon too :) Thanks for the well wishes.
doc said it was nothing.... its been on for about 4months not any worse. I wonder if its just from constantly having stiff back and neck :(
I actually heard of another person like your sister. In a wheel chair and they can't figure out why. They are looking into metabolic and genes etc. Sorry to hear about it and hope they figure it out.
My sister started experiencing symptoms like that in August of this year. It has gotten progressively worse and she is now using a walker, and will more than likely be in a wheelchair soon. She has gone through every test imaginable and there has been no cause found or disease diagnosed. They tell her it is neuropathy , but so far no apparent cause. I would suggest you get to your doctor and get checked immediately for a cause. I am sure this fast progression does not happen to everyone, but it hurts to see her going through this and I would not want anyone else to experience what she is going through.
Not sure how to describe it other then a buzzing, say when the dryer is going and the floor buzzes alittle from the vibration. SO more of a gentle vibration.
Kind of like a tingling sensation? That and pain can be a thyroid symptom. Just in case, make sure you have your glucose levels checked.
