I should have known better than to see an endo

Saw a pituitary endo today and all she came up with was that I may have sleep apnea and that I probably never had thyroid problems and should have never been put on the meds since my TSH never went above the range. She totally dismissed all the cortisol saliva tests I did saying they're not accurate. She did an ACTH stim test, but she said that was normal, although it only went from 21 to 30 in an hour. I thought it was supposed to double.

I"m so frustrated. I don't know what doctor to see anymore and no one can explain the band of pressure across my forehead.

Ha ha!! I do feel like banging my head against a wall. Yes, that's me. My TSH goes right to zero even on a low dose of T4. I don't know why, but to a TSH watcher, they think I"m hyper even though my other levels aren't even in range and my bp and pulse are low.

I honestly do agree with some docs who have said my thyroid isn't the problem. I don't know if it's adrenals and I need to fix those first or if it's my sex hormones still being too low.

Unfortunately I can't travel since I'm single and have to work a full time job. So I'm limited to who's within a 25 mile driving distance.

I know they say be careful what you wish for, but sometimes I wish I would just pass out so I could be in a hospital and people would finally believe I"m really as sick as I say I am. Since I don't look sick, I just sound lazy to most people. That or a hypochondriac.

After having a TT, what medication and dosage are you on?  If you look at this list of 26 typical hypothyroid symptoms, which do you have, if any?

Also, please post your thyroid test results and reference ranges shown on the lab report, so that members can assess the adequacy of your testing and treatment.

I can remember that feeling as if you were wearing a hat and you didn't have one on. I have sleep apnea but after wards was diagnosed with a goiter on my neck. I had a total thyroidectomy and I really can't recall when was the last time I felt that feeling but it hasn't returned. Maybe you need to see a specialist in thyroids.

Is the band of pressure from pounding your head against the wall trying to find a Dr. who has a clue how to treat you?  LOL

I do not know what to say other than to continue to find a different Dr.  You may have to do phone interviews and do some more travel.  I also wouldn't doubt that may be difficult with insurances etc.

But at some point you have to get well and find a Dr who will treat you.  You can't continue to live life being continuously sick.  That has a cost far greater than money to pay out of pocket to a Dr.

If I recall are you one who has suppressed TSH with even low T4 medication resulting in your other ranges to be at the bottoms of their ranges?
