new labs and question

it gets more interesting all the time.  I think i feel better than i have in about 3 years.  I probably can feel better than this, but im so used to being on deaths door, i feel a little bit better and its a vast improvement.

I was on 340 mcg t4 - hyper as could be.    I finally found a new doctor and he put me on 125 synthroid for practical purposes.   I was on this for 6 weeks, got tested.  Then i had my physical 10 days later with my family doc and he did thyroid too.  Thinking they would be better, they were actually worse which is funny because i feel better.

Labs on friday 7.5 weeks 125

tsh 12.9      ranges .4 to  4.5
ft4  1.2       ranges .8 to 1.8
ft3  2.9       ranges 2.3 to 4.2

just 10 days earlier

tsh 5.7
ft4  1.3
ft3  2.9

my plan is to stay on the 125 for more weeks to get stabile to see the true results.  Then adjust.   I feel a little tired, but its manageable.   Hypo is definitely better than hyper.

any suggestions?

After letting things get good and stable, yes, I'd ask my doctor to increase a little.

Thanks.   Goolarra....  you funny.  So you think that since i was on that huge dose of t4 (345 mcg) its finally out of the system and im starting to see the true numbers on 125 mcg?

if you were my doctor (which you probably know more than them) in 4 weeks (which will be about 10 weeks on .125)  if my labs are the same, and i feel the same (which is a little fatigued but nothing crazy)  would you tell me to bump from .125 to 137500  or whatever the next dose is?

To tell you the truth, nothing really changed.  Your FT4 went from 1.3 to 1.2...could just be day-to-day variation. Since you'd already been on 125 for 7.5 weeks at the first testing, we wouldn't expect your numbers to change without a change in dose.  FT3 absolutely stayed the same.  Your TSH is, to use a technical term, whacked...give it up!

Good plan...
