Fog

I was wondering if any one can help me. I am one of those unfortunet people that get a fog over my head and feeling sedated after taking my levo. I have been on it for three and a half months now. Only taking 25 at the moment because of increase issues. Anyway, back on 25 for the past three weeks. The foggyness gets a little better each day but I had it pretty bad until recently. Does it ever clear up or is this one of the side affects for me in taking levo. Also I have times where I feel like I am itching inside my body if that makes sense, especially in my hands and feet?

You've started so many different threads, it's getting hard to keep up with them all.

If your fogginess is getting better, maybe you should continue on the course you're on, until things stall, then you can move on.

Brain fog is usually a fairly common symptom of having low thyroid.  Taking thyroid medication usually eventually helps with this.

Are you saying that the itchy feeling and braing fog only occur as a result of taking the Levo?

If so, I might recommend that you switch manufacturers of the T4 medication. You may be having a reaction to the fillers and buffers used in the particular manufacturer of the medication you are taking.

You may even want to switch to the "hypoalergenic" version of T4 which is known or the brand name of Tirosint  or Triosint can't remember the spelling right now.  It is a liquid gel cap, it seems to absorb better in the gut and also it has no apparent fillers etc so people who tend to be sensitive to fillers etc are able to take the Tirosint.

Just a thought.
