Green Tea with Hoodia

Last year I was diagnosed with breast cancer.  After a P.E.T. Scan, a cancerous tumor was found on my thyroid.  I am scheduled for 1 year Full Body Thyroid Scan.  During the time I'm off my synthyroid, can I take green tea with hoodia supplements in order to maybe not get so tired.

I know that green tea if fine but you might want to call your nuclear medicine department at the hospital about hoodia.  My hospital had a *huge* list of all dietary supplements, herbs, etc.

Have fun in hypohell.  :-(  Watch out for the depression.

I know that the hospital protocol here is to go "naturally" hypo for the first RAI treatment then you can use thyrogen for subsequent treatments.  If that is what your hospital's protocol is too remember, followup scans will be easier with thyrogen next time!

I take you are going to the RAI. You can ask for the thyrogen injections so you dont have to go off your meds and go to " hypohell "
I had my second RAI in July and I took the thryogen shots as I told my endo I would not be going back to hypohell like I did the first time. Its unnecessary and in my humble opinion it is just backward to make us go through hypohell. Why suffer needlessly?
If your doc refuses ask him if he has ever been to hypohell? ( I am not kidding here.)
