High Parathyroid
In January 2009, my PTH was 69.7 pg/ml, in November 2009 my PTH was 65.8. Last week my PTH was 109 pg/ml. My calcium was. 10.7 mg/dl in January 2009, was 9.55 mg/dl in November 2009 and was 9.17 mg/dl last week. My alkaline phosphatase was 126 U/L in January 2009, was 125 U/L in November 2009 and was 106 U/L last week. My Bone Alkaline Phosphatase was 150.0 U/L in January 2009, was 125.0 U/L in November 2009 and was 77 U/L last week. My doctor says I have mild hyper parathyroidism and we're treating this with medication. Any suggestions?
Feel crummy about 90% of the time. No kidney stones yet--I drink a lot of water. No constipation. Sometimes I ache all over. No headaches. Some heartburn. No problem with heart beat. Have an appointment with an endocrinologist on Friday.
Mild my butt. I'd bet you either have a parathyroid tumor or something wrong with your pituitary gland. I'll be you feel pretty crummy too, eh? -Been there, done that, read the book. Any kidney stones yet? Constipation? Ache all over? Headaches? Heartburn? Rapid heart beats? ~MM
