Hyperparathyroidism

I am having some serious pains when I get up from laying down. The pains are typically located on the left side or the entire upper abdomen. When the pains are on the left side they are also located in my back. I usually take the back pain for my kidney pain (I've had kidney stones since 2004) but I'm worried that with this condition (I was recently diagnosed with hyperparathyroidism, although have been having symptoms for years) it could be something serious (pancreatitis?). Any advice would be appreciated.

Have you had a abdominal ultrasound done or a CT?? What are they doing for your hyperparathyroidism? Did they find tumor?
First thing to do is get abdominal ultrasound done or ct, ask your dr.
