Little or no sweating

I perspire very little.  I can work out at the gym, or even go for a walk and I get beet red and really hot, but rarely perspire.  I am wondering if it could be hypothyroidism?  This has gone on for years, but I seem to get hot quicker.  Only a cold shower (or several of them) seem to help.  I am in generally good health, work out 2-3 times a week, female, 57 yrs of age.  Any other ideas?

Thanks, i will do this.  I am pretty sure it is not lack of water intake.  I drink at least 3 litre bottles of water each day.  I drink very little soda (1-2 cans per week) and very little coffee (1 cup a day).

Hi,
Have a pcp, evaluate you and discuss your concerns with them.  I've alway's been told, lack of perspiration is lack of water intake or dehydration.  But I'm sure there are other causes as well.

Good luck !!
