Normal Readings?!!!! What gives?

Is it possible to have normal T3, T4, TSH readings and still have thyroid disease?  Can Paxil mask the problem?  While I was on Paxil I did not have heart palpitations, racing heart, heat/cold sensitivity, weight loss, anxiety attacks, dizziness and nausea.  Once I taper off (twice), the symptoms reappear.  What gives?  Thank you!

Yes, it is most definately possible to have normal TSH etc and still have thyroid disease. I have suffered the most abominable symptoms for a year which all relate to thyroid and for most of that time my results were normal. Docs kept telling me it was stress! A year on, results have finally started to show changes in thyroid function. So if you think you have thyroid disease, keep on making sure you get your levels checked regularly. I was near to despair until the good people on here made me push for more answers. And yes, it has been a long year with most of the medical profession disbelieving me. But they're all having to eat their words now!

Please post your test results with the ranges so we can take a look. If you do not have them call your drs office and ask for copies of your labs. Always get copies of labs. The thyroid test ranges have changed for the tsh and a lot of drs don't realize it. Look forward to seeing your results. :)
Sorry can't adise you on paxil....I have never taken it.
