Pimples

Does anybody out there have trouble with acne when they get HYPO? I realize there are much bigger issues to deal with than pimples (heck-the tumors up and down my spin remind me of that) but I only seem to get acne if my thyroid meds are too low! In fact, acne was the fist sign that something was wrong with me. I haven't had pimples in 16 years, but my endocrinologist was pretty apathetic about it. Fortunately, anouther random MRI found the cancerous tumor in my neck. BLAHBLAHBLAH sorry....

Big thing with Hypothyroid treatment and other hormones is you have to check te other hormones out periodically to make sure all systems are running good too.

With acne - most likely the cause is a progesterone/ testosterone imbalance with the thyroid hormone.

Hi Yes I can relate to getting acne, perhaps we are re-cycled teenagers!!! I wish.
Here in England they treat every symptom separately they are connected to thyroid, or that's what they would have you believe.
the spots I get are awful abit like blisters as they are filled with water yuk!!!
I am on tablets for depression, tablets for spots, progesterone for exaggerated PMT and
period problems, I will ratteling soon!!!!
So sorry to hear you've had tumours are these related to your immune system being
down?? Hope you are going to be ok!!
Tell me how your getting on!!
Love
Lorraine xx
