There will always be some side effects from dose adjusting, it can be a mix of hypo and hyper feelings in my experience. For example, I recently started taking some small Cytomel dose and it gave me some dizziness, but it has been going away with the days. Its good to increase slowly, while paying attention to your body, symptoms, and lab results as a guide.
Are you on Tirosint?
We've had some people who are extra sensitive to medications. They generally have to start at very low doses and work up very slowly.
i'm on a hypo-allergenic form of levothyroxine and i still am getting those side effects.
next week i shall be starting on an even lower dosage -- hopefully i won't have as many problems.
my body, unfortunately, is just hyper-sensitive to just about everything.
when i was younger, that didn't bother me so much, but now that i am older and need some medication, it is proving to be a problem.
thank you for letting me know about graveslady :)
be well.
I've been on this forum since late 2008 and Graveslady has not posted in most of that time, so I'm sure you won't get an answer.
Side effects/adverse reactions of levothyroxine are very few, since the actual medication contained in the pills, is the same as what your body produces....... the major side effects come from over medication, causing hyperthyroidism, which presents with the symptoms you noted or reactions to the fillers and/or binders used in making the pills, which can also have those same symptoms..
